Firea presents in a new video the achievements in the social field: Granting incentives for forming families, for marriage celebrations or for children and adults with disabilities

On Tuesday, General Mayor of Bucharest Gabriela Firea presented to people in Bucharest, in the fourth video, her achievements in the social field, where she says she granted financial incentives in value of tens of millions of euros for newborns, for children or adults with disabilities, for single-parent families, for forming families or for couples celebrating 25, 50 or 70 years of marriage, as well as for the students’ school performance.

“After a long period characterized by the lack of action in this field, and I am talking about the social field, a special attention has been given to the social programs in the last two years. Upon the proposal of the General mayor, the Bucharest General Council (CGMB) approved to grant the following incentives, meant to support the disadvantaged categories and to encourage youngsters to form families and make babies” Gabriela Firea says in the video describing her achievements in the social field.

The mayor says that financial incentives in value of RON 2,500 have been granted for newborns, and EUR 10 million have been allocated for this project until today. Also, incentives of RON 1,000 per month for children with disabilities have been granted, the cost of the program being EUR 8 million until now.

Incentives of RON 500 per month for adults with disabilities have also been granted, with a total cost of EUR 22 million; at the same time, incentives in value of RON 1,200 per month for single-parent families have been granted, for which EUR 14,000 were allocated until today.

Also regarding the family, Gabriela Firea says that prizes for couples celebrating 25, 50 or 70 years of marriage have been granted, with amounts ranging between RON 1,000 and 3,000, and financial incentives of RON 1,500 per month have been given for forming families, a project in value of EUR 3 million.

The municipality also granted RON 600 for the school performance and prizes for outstanding school averages, ranging from RON 300 and 1,000.
