Depaco, one of the leaders of the local roof systems industry, part of the TeraPlast industrial group, has become the first Romanian factory that can form tinsmiths of roofing and roof covering systems. The manufacturer has obtained the necessary accreditations from the Ministry of National Education, through the National Authority for Qualifications, and the County Agency for Payments and Social Inspection. Courses will take place at the Wetterbest School, an initiative launched by the company in 2015, where more than 1,500 mounters have been trained so far.
Participants in the training course “Tinsmith for Roofing and Roof Covering Systems” will acquire advanced knowledge about: organization of the workplace, ensuring the quality of the executed works, maintenance of the work equipment, preparation of the tinsmith works, construction of the tinsmithing elements, fitting of the tinsmithing elements, fitting of sheet metal protection systems for thermal insulation works at technological installations, making roof coverings, applying the legal provisions concerning health and safety at work and in the emergency situations, as well as applying the environmental protection regulations.
“The Wetterbest School makes it possible for some technicians with an important piece of theoretical and practical knowledge related to making metallic covers, who are quite responsible and aware of the importance of their work, to enter the construction industry. The initiative reflects our desire to increase the quality of the works, to the direct benefit of the final customers who invest in construction or renovation projects. In a construction work, the quality of putting into work is at least as important as that of the materials used. From our experience, most of the problems occur in assembly, and this is a general issue in the construction industry. Creating a structured training framework for specialists in the field is a proof of the company’s responsibility towards its clients”, said Valeriu Irimescu, CEO of Depaco.
The course, which is recognized at EU level, will be divided into modules and will last for 40 hours. It will include both theoretical training sessions (in the classroom) and practice (in the workshop). Both types of sessions will benefit from support materials, and specialized documentation will be available to the trainees for the theoretical part, while the practical training will benefit from working stands equipped with everything that is needed.
Mounters from all over the country can enroll to the course at the e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org.
