The Embassy of Denmark in Romania marks the Christmas season with an appeal to support the charity MagiCAMP.
MagiCAMP helps children with cancer to restore confidence, to gain the power to fight the illness and to motivate them to move on. Since 2017, the MagiCAMP project MagicHOME has hosted children and their parents undergoing medical treatment for more than 13.500 nights.
The appeal is through the music video “Christmas with you”. The song is written by the Ambassador to Romania, Mr. Søren Jensen , and the music video is performed by the Embassy staff and friends. It can be viewed at the Facebook page of the Embassy of Denmark in Romania (here). The recording and the video were made by Taine Multimedia Studio and kindly supported by JYSK Romania.
“We wanted to do something special to draw attention to the important work done by MagiCAMP
helping children with cancer and their families,” says Ambassador Jensen. “We thought that singing a
Christmas song was a good way of showing our support. We hope it will encourage people and businesses to donate to the MagicHOME project”.
“The MagicHOME fundraising campaign brought people together: Children and elders, Catholics and Orthodox, patients and carers. It joined the most diverse social categories. At its one-year anniversary, it brings together people of different nationalities also. We thank the Embassy of Denmark for encouraging its community to support the parents of children with cancer. And congratulation to its staff for the Christmas song – it’s lovely!” says Melania Medeleanu, MagiCAMP co-founder.
“We were happy to support the Embassy’s initiative to raise awareness about MagiCamp and all the
good things they do to improve the lives of children who suffer from cancer. It is great to see that people join forces to make a good deed for those in need.
