TAP Air Portugal airline leaves Romania

The TAP Air Portugal airline leaves Romania and cancels the direct flights on the route Lisbon – Bucharest – Lisbon, starting from January 27, 2019.

The airline informs that starting with January 27, 2019, it will no longer operate the direct route Lisbon – Bucharest. Customers who have already purchased flight tickets will be protected on the flights of other airlines and will be informed about the new routes or will be able to request for the return of the paid amounts, if they wish to cancel the tickets.

The company, which is at its second attempt to operate the Lisbon – Bucharest route, says its withdrawal from Romania comes as a result of the poor profitability, which does not justify in any manner the continuation of the flights.

Passengers from Romania can contact the Call Center in Lisbon at the phone number: (+351) 21 843 11 00.
