Telekom Romania announces the winners of the ninth edition of the „Telekom Scholarships” program

Telekom Romania offers through the social responsibility program „Telekom Scholarships” a monthly scholarship worth 1,900 lei for five students with exceptional academic results.

The winners of the ninth edition of the program, who will benefit from the financial support during January – June and October – December 2019, are:

  1. Livia Magureanu
  2. Ana-Maria Milcu
  3. Sara Petres
  4. Stefan Sovea
  5. Bogdan Gabriel Draghici


This year’s edition of the „Telekom Scholarships” program addressed students in the first grade in a higher education institution in Romania, in full-time education, in the field of sciences, automation and computers, informatics, cybernetics, mathematics, electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunication or information technology.

“Every year, through the „Telekom Scholarships” program we discover exceptional young people, who impress us with their desire to perform in education, with their ambition to build a professional career from their early years of college, but also through their responsibility and civic spirit which they demonstrate through their involvement in extracurricular projects. The digital generation is very well-prepared, curious to discover and innovate, which makes the jury’s mission extremely difficult in selecting the winners. We thank the participants for their confidence in this program and the jury for their involvement”, stated Florina Serban, Corporate Responsibility Expert, Telekom Romania.

This year, 75 young people enrolled in the competition, of which the jury selected 10 finalists and 5 winners following selection interviews.

The jury of „Telekom Scholarships”, 2018 edition, consisted of: Cristina Bazavan – Blogger, former editor of Tabu magazine, Europa FM and Radio 21 journalist, Emil Cazacu – Professor Doctor Engineer, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University Politehnica of Bucharest, Claudiu Gura – Mentor CoderDojo Romania, IT consultant with  great experience in multinational companies, Sorin Psatta – Lecturer, Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies, University of Bucharest and Integrated Communication Director, Graffiti BBDO Romania, Mihai Comșa – Recruitment, Assessment and Employer Branding Supervisor, Telekom Romania, Mihai Popa Radu – Managing Partner, Seeds for Success.

„Telekom Scholarships” is a corporate responsibility program of Telekom Romania, aiming to identify young people with a potential to become leaders, passionate about their field of studies, with outstanding academic results and well-defined career goals, which are involved in extracurricular and volunteering activities. The program was launched in 2010 and since it has supported students with outstanding performance in their field of study. Up to now, 110 students at prestigious universities in Romania have benefited from financial support from Telekom.
