New Israeli ambassador arrives in Romania

His Excellency Mr David Saranga, the State of Israel’s new ambassador to Romania, arrived in Bucharest on Thursday.

From the airport, the head of the Israeli diplomatic mission went straight to the Memorial to the Victims of the Holocaust where he said a Kaddish prayer and laid a wreath in the memory of the 400,000 Jews killed in the Holocaust in Romania. His Excellency was joined by leaders of the Jewish community, by House lawmaker Silviu Vexler and by Alexandru Florian, Director of the ‘Elie Wiesel’ National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania.

To mark the new ambassador’s arrival at his post, the Israeli Foreign Ministry prepared a video through which Romanians can get to know the new head of the diplomatic mission, video posted on the ministry’s official Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts – @IsraelinRomania.
