IntMin Dan, Japanese Ambassador, express join will to support raising bilateral partnership to strategic level

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) expresses its support to raise to strategic level the Partnership between Romania and Japan. That was the message sent on Friday by Interior Minister Carmen Dan during a meeting with the Japanese Ambassador in Bucharest, Hitoshi Noda.

“Shortly after taking office, Mr Ambassador said that ?Japan and Romania have traditionally very good relations.’ I believe the same, all the more so as in three years we will celebrate 100 years of diplomatic relations. During today’s meeting, I expressed the MAI commitment and gave assurances on our support for the initiative to increase the partnership between the two countries to a strategic level,” Interior Minister Carmen Dan wrote, on Facebook, after the meeting with the Japanese diplomat.

According to the Interior minister, the discussions with Hitoshi Noda were constructive and the premises of “quality collaboration, based on openness and professionalism” were created.

“Welcoming, honest and open. That is how Romanians are and that is what I tried to convey to Japan’s new ambassador to Romania, His Excellency Hitoshi Noda. (…) I think we have had constructive discussions and thus we have created the premises of quality collaboration, based on openness and professionalism,” the Romanian Interior Minister also wrote.
