Few days ago, the German retailer Kaufland has launched, as an international premiere, a loyalty program that rewards the customers with discounts, bonus points and many benefits. Kaufland Card is available in both material and digital format and can be used in all the stores from all over the country, simply scanning it at the cash registers. While the material card, which is available at the Info Desk of the stores, provides access to the general loyalty promotions, the digital format provides the possibility to collect and use loyalty bonus points to purchase products included in non-food campaigns and personalized promotions, in addition to access to promotions with significant discounts exclusively created for the Kaufland Card users, according to the shopping habits of each customer – a unique advantage in the market to be available later this year. Those who are interested can get the digital Kaufland Card by installing the mobile app Kaufland – Oferte si Noutati (e.n. – Kaufland – Offers and Novelties), which can be downloaded for free from both App Store and Google Play.
“We have created the digital card to provide customers with all the benefits in a single place, in the easiest possible way. We wanted to simplify the shopping experience by making available another way to interact with the offers, a modern and dynamic enough way which can be taken anywhere by the customers, directly on their phone. We urge people to use the digital card since it is a sustainable tool” stated Valer Hancas, the Communication and Corporate Affairs Manager of Kaufland Romania.
Alina Golopenta, the Marketing Manager of Kaufland Romania, revealed to those who were present at the press conference held on the occasion of launching Kaufland Card that the work at this project started 2 years and a half ago and involved 360o campaigns of communication, informing customers, finalized with a positive outcome. She stated: “Kaufland Romania is the pilot country for launching such a product. It is very likely that the other six countries within the group will adopt the product soon. We have the responsibility to make the project work and be welcomed by our customers, being effective in sales.” “We are glad that the international team has given us the privilege to make this launch”, Alina Golopenta concluded. The Romanian team was supported by the German team in creating and launching this new concept.
Today, other Romanian retailers such as Cora, Profi, Penny Market, Carrefour Market, Mega Image make loyalty cards available for the customers; the latter also offers personalized promotions to the buyers.
