Dan Barna says in the second round of the presidential elections he would vote for Ciolos to the detriment of Klaus Iohannis

The Save Romania union (USR) Chairman Dan Barna stated in a show broadcasted by a TV channel on Saturday that if Klaus Iohannis and Dacian Ciolos would reach the second tour of the presidential elections, he would vote for the latter to the detriment of the current head of state.

“If that situation happens and if Mr. Ciolos will be the candidate of the alliance, I will vote for Mr. Ciolos. If there will be another sequence in which there will be Mr. Iohannis and another candidate, I will vote for Mr. Iohannis, obviously”, Dan Barna stated for Digi 24.

He also said that he made this statement taking into account the possibility that Dacian Ciolos will run in the presidential elections.

“We are building a scenario now, in which Mr. Ciolos will decide to run as a representative of the alliance and will have the support of his colleagues in USR and the support of his colleagues in PLUS. Things are very clear. I am very pragmatic. We are in the logic of an electoral alliance”, the USR leader added.
