President Iohannis, guest of honour of Munich Security Conference

President Klaus Iohannis Saturday through Sunday will attend as guest of honour the 55th edition of the Munich Security Conference, informs a release issued  by the Presidential Administration.

According to the source, the president of Romania will open, as High Representative of the state holding the presidency of the Council of the EU, the series of debates, alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the latter as High Representative of the state at the helm of the African Union.

This edition’s agenda comprises current topics on the management of the security challenges, the transatlantic relationship included, NATO priorities, the future of the European project and the cooperation between the European Union and NATO.
