Road traffic was closed on Kiseleff Road and Aviatorilor Boulevard on one sense.
PLUS leader Dacian Ciolos and Save Romania Union (USR) chairman Dan Barna are among the demonstrators in Bucharest.
Thousands of people are also protesting in major cities in the country, including Cluj, Sibiu, Timisoara, Iasi, Bacau, Constanta, Brasov.

The Gendarmerie will ensure public order and peace and will take all necessary measures in order to prevent incidents that might disrupt public order during this demonstration. We will make every effort to ensure that the natural activity of public institutions, the use of roads and other day-to-day activities are not affected or the effect is limited “, the Gendarmerie said.
The Gendarmerie adds that more information and false news were circulated in the public space about the number of gendarmes engaged in this mission, in order to create emotion and increase the tension among those interested in participating in this demonstration.
