On St. Patrick’s Day, Guiness kicks off the Irish-style parties in Romania

Guinness®, the world’s number 1 stout beer, starts the fun on St. Patrick’s Day also in 2019, on Ireland’s National Day, celebrated on 6 continents with a pint of Guinness beer, between friends. From Dublin to Dubai, from London to Lima, from Sidney to Stockholm and from Moscow to Montserrat, this year’s Guinness concept for St. Patrick’s Day is “Let’s get together”, an urge for people from all over the world to meet their friends, join this global holiday and party in the Irish style.

Special activities and surprises are prepared in Romania for those who want to party and who will enter the Guinness partners’ premises between March 14 to 17, 2019. For the second year in a row, the Irish brand which is in the portfolio of United Romanian Breweries Bereprod (URBB) will conduct a national “bar-hopping” campaign on the evening of March 16, which will take place in 20 special Guinness premises in Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara and Iasi.

“Every year, in March, millions of people from all over the world, Irish people and not only, gather for a Guinness pint to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, in over 150 countries around the world. We are glad that Romanians also find in St. Patrick’s Day the perfect occasion to relax after a long working day, going out with their friends and partying in the Irish style, in an increasingly larger number from one year to another. This is why, thanks to the positive reactions from 2018, we invite the Guinness beer consumers and the party enthusiasts to join us for the second year in a row to the ‘bar-hopping’ session in our special premises from Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara, as well as in the rest of the country, since we have prepared surprises in all our partner locations, so that all of us can enjoy the same Iris spirit of joy”, stated Paul Markovits, the Marketing Vice President of URBB.

The connection between Guinness and St. Patrick is related to the Ireland’s cultural heritage, transferred at the international level, and is strengthened by the fact that Guinness beer promotes joy and friendship, giving the ideal occasion for meeting friends and celebrating common values.

Starting with the New York of the year 1762, every year, St. Patrick’s Day is a reason for joy felt all over the world and celebrated by all those who love stout beer with fried barley and caramel flavor. Regardless of the place where they are, at Europe’s biggest parade, in Munich, or sailing in the Irish style on the Barcelona’s Mediterranean waters, friends gather on St. Patrick’s Day to clink a pint of Guinness beer.

With a rich and creamy consistency, having an unmistakable ruby red color, with an authentic fine foam and a velvety taste, Guinness Draught is the most sold Guinness beer, which is preferred on St. Patrick’s Day, consumers being attracted by the complexity of the mix of flavors and the unique taste.

SLÁINTE is the wish that binds more than 70 million people with Irish origins all over the world on St. Patrick’s Day.
