PSD’s Dragnea: Gov’t reshuffle to take place prior to elections to EP

Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) Liviu Dragnea mentioned on Monday that a government reshuffle will take place before the elections to the European Parliament, underscoring that he doesn’t believe that the ministers included on the list of PSD candidates, such as Rovana Plumb and Natalia Intotero, should remain in the Government until these elections.

“I don’t think that they should remain in the Government until the election date. I told them, I also told Mrs Prime Minister. I don’t think that a member of the Government can be in an electoral campaign and also manage the issues of the ministry. Mrs Plumb is the European Funds Minister, we shouldn’t play with this. I told them my point of view. I’m waiting the return of Mrs Prime Minister and we’ll carry out a discussion, and later within the party, too,” Liviu Dragnea stated, when asked after the meeting of the PSD’s National Executive Committee (CExN) whether Rovana Plumb and Natalia Intotero are to leave the Government prior or after the elections to the European Parliament.
