PSD rally in Iasi, in parallel to the EU summit in Sibiu . Dragnea: It will take place whether the Prime Minister will attend it or not

Social Democratic Party (PSD) Chairman Liviu Dragnea stated on Tuesday that the rally organized by PSD in Iasi on May 9 will take place, whether PM Viorica Dancila will attend it or not. The demonstration of the Social-Democrats takes place on the same day as the Summit of the EU leaders in Sibiu, hosted by Klaus Iohannis.

“The rally will take place even if the Prime Minister will not be there. I mean we have this capacity. We’ll have a rally in Iasi”, Liviu Dragnea stated on Tuesday at the Parliament.

Asked what he thinks about the fact that counterdemonstrations have been announced against this rally, the PSD Chairman answered: “very well”.

“It means that counterdemonstrations could occur also on Saturday. If this is the game they want to play in the campaign, we will play this game during this campaign. I mean, Iohannis and his servants shouldn’t believe that they are the only ones who have the right to shout. We can also let our irritated people organize a counterdemonstration. I don’t expect him or his clowns understand this message”, Dragnea concluded.

On May 9, Liviu Dragnea will attend the PSD rally in Iasi, the Secretary General of the party, Codrin Stefanescu, stated for MEDIAFAX.

Several PSD county organizations requested to have the opportunity to host a rally on the occasion of the Europe Day, on May 9, Codrin Stefanescu explained for MEDIAFAX. He also said that PSD representatives intend to travel to the constituencies of the party’s candidates in the EP elections. Iasi is Tudor Ciuhodaru’s constituency.

Electoral rallies are also planned for the future in the counties of Galati, Teleorman and Dambovita, Stefanescu added.
