“All for Europe” demonstration to take place in Victory Square. Concerts and speeches to encourage voter turnout

The Declic Community has announced that it will organise the “All for Europe” event on Sunday, seeking to motivate citizens to cast ballots in the May 26 elections and to be aware of the importance of civic involvement.

Vama, Omul cu sobolani, Taxi and Emil are the bands that will perform alongside the Sound Choir which will sing the anthem of the European Union. Likewise, Funkoteca will animate the atmosphere in the Square. All artists will take part in the event pro bono. Subsequently, 4,000 members of the Declic Community will take part in a special choreography, depicting a white heart against a blue backdrop, in order to issue the message “Romania loves Europe.”

Personalities from various domains, not involved in politics, will take to the stage in order to convey a voter mobilisation message: philosopher Mihai Sora, artist Tudor Chirila, actors Marius Manole and Mihai Calin, journalist Moise Guran, Carmen Uscatu and Oana Gheorghiu from the ‘Daruieste Viata’ Association.

“We are not giving a political stripe to the event. However, we do give a European spirit to it. We expect you to bring All for Europe placards, flags and balloons,” the organisers state, according to

The event, which will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. is part of a series of actions that will take place on Sunday in over 50 European cities in 13 countries.

“We are part of a European movement. 52 European cities will take to the streets along with us”, the organizers announced on Declic Community’s Facebook page.
