The successful partnership between Mercedes-Benz and TIFF continues on the occasion of the 18th edition of this great festival dedicated to the Romanian feature film. Over the past 13 years, Mercedes-Benz was the Official Car of the festival, completing the experience of the Romanian and international film lovers and filmmakers. In 2019, from May 31 to June 9, Mercedes-Benz is the partner that will lead the TIFF’s participants to unforgettable experiences.
“Over the 13 years of partnership, TIFF has become an important chapter of the involvement of Mercedes-Benz into the cultural field in Romania, a chapter built on respect and trust, and defined by the excellence of the two partners in their fields. We are excited to be along the TIFF team at the coming-of-age edition, and we are proud of what this festival is – a landmark of the film industry and a cultural catalyst”, stated Mirel Dediu, Corporate PR/Communications, Marketing & PR Mercedes-Benz Cars.
“The main objective of TIFF continues to be, even now, at the coming-of-age edition, the promotion of cinematographic art and its main pawns, bringing to the public’s attention the most spectacular and daring movies of the moment. I can definitely say that after 18 years of TIFF, we are witnessing a growing audience, which is very educated and versed, as well as versatile regarding their tastes. I like to believe that TIFF has formed the viewers in a certain sense, that it has accustomed them with various movies, stories from all over the world, love movies, psychological dramas, challenging movies, atypical approaches. For 13 years, Mercedes-Benz has been with us in an active way, supporting us to accomplish this mission, and our collaboration is redefined every year by the experiences prepared by the local leader of the premium automotive market for the TIFF guests”, stated the TIFF Director, Tudor Giurgiu.
The TIFF experience aboard a Mercedes-Benz car
Mercedes-Benz GLC, the SUV that sets both on road and off-road new standards, and Mercedes-Benz E Class, the smartest business limousine, will be available for the TIFF special guests during the 18th edition of the festival, for memorable experiences. The TIFF car fleet will be complemented by light Mercedes-Benz commercial cars: Vito and Sprinter, for the logistic support, which is essential for the organizers.
The new Mercedes-Benz V Class, which was launched at international level early this year, will make its local debut at TIFF, leading the Mercedes-Benz guests with style and elegance. The design philosophy of the Mercedes-Benz cars was also transposed within the interior of the V Class, following the modernity and clarity trend. Thanks to the improvements that have been implemented, the rear passengers can enjoy an even larger space. Thus, travelling with the new V Class as a VIP shuttle will rather look like a SPA treatment after a stressful flight or a business meeting.

The “10 pentru FILM” program, supported by Mercedes-Benz
The program for the most talented theater actors, who are ready to step into the film industry, called “10 pentru FILM”, continues in 2019, too, with the support of Mercedes-Benz. Each year, 10 of the most talented actors playing on the Romanian stages are presented at TIFF to the professionals in the film industry and to the audience, under the Romanian Film Days.
The program has reached its eight edition and aims at promoting new artists in the Romanian film industry. “10 pentru FILM” is aimed at the actors who made themselves known in the theater field, but who haven’t the opportunity to be seen on the big screens, too, so far.
