China and Romania, though thousands of miles apart, have had a relationship of friendship and cooperation for 70 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, which is a model of state-to-state relations.
In recent years, the “Belt and Road” Initiative and “Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries” have created new platforms for China-Romania practical cooperation. People-to-people exchanges on theatre, music, dance, among other things, have flourished. Colorful cultural activities have brought our two peoples ever closer. To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 15th anniversary of the establishment of a comprehensive friendly cooperative partnership between China and Romania, the Embassy of China in Romania, together with Sibiu International Theatre Festival, will hold the Chinese Season during the festival. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Sibiu International Theatre Festival and other related organizations for their hard work and outstanding contributions, and I wish the Chinese Season of Sibiu International Theatre Festival a complete success! On the occasion of this anniversary, let us work together to build on past achievements and open up a future by bringing the relationship between China and Romania to a new level.
