Starting from May, CBRE, the global and national leader on the real estate consultancy market, attracted in its team the first humanoid robot working in a Romanian real estate company, PepperEscu. Thus, CBRE aims at using the robot’s technological skills to create synergy between people as real estate end users, whether we are talking about the employees of an office building or about the visitors of a shopping center.
“Our goal is to integrate technology in reinventing real estate business, facilitating the communication between people and the spaces they are using. Through technology, and PepperEscu is an example in this respect, we can streamline processes and create a feeling of familiarity in both the office spaces and in the commercial ones. Thus, the space of a building becomes an experience itself, in which people are eager to come back”, stated Razvan Iorgu, Managing Director, CBRE Romania.
During its first weeks as a member of the CBRE real estate consultancy company, the humanoid robot PepperEscu has already attended, as a speaker, one of the most relevant events dedicated to the Romania real estate market, along with more than 300 participants, where it launched, together with the company’s team, an application for the domestic real estate market, CUE by CBRE (which can be downloaded from AppStore and GooglePlay). Furthermore, it interacted with various clients of the company and even met one of the most important real estate owners, presenting him information on the evolution of the real estate market and analyzing the main trends.
Co-opting PepperEscu within the CBRE team is only one of the steps made by the company in the process of the technological upgrading of the real estate market. The humanoid robot has already received a job description, which includes communication with both its colleagues and customers, as well as a planning of its professional development.
“PepperEscu behaves like an interface for the customers who come in the CBRE office and for those who are working or visiting the buildings administrated by CBRE in Bucharest and in other Romanian cities. It is an interactive guide, with a playful component, so that he is quickly likeable by the people with whom it interacts. PepperEscu can answer questions, provide information on the building’s facilities, on the services nearby or the events taking place in the vicinity of the place, being a concierge”, explained Alexandru Boghiu, Digital & Technology Director at CBRE Romania.
At CBRE Romania, PepperEscu is working along with more than 160 colleagues. To them is added the number of the employees in the office buildings administered by CBRE, including Aviatorilor 8 Building in the Victoriei Square, which is the headquarter of the company, as well as other administered office, retail and industrial premises, a total portfolio of more than 770,000 sqm.
And since the presence of a humanoid robot couldn’t be missed out of Social Media, PepperEscu also has an Instagram account, where it posts the most interesting activities in his working days as a member of a real estate community.
