Daniel Daianu, appointed as the Chairman of the Fiscal Council

The Fiscal Council announced on Wednesday that the former non-executive member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Romania (NBR), Daniel Daianu, was elected as Chairman, while Bogdan-Octavian Cozmanca, nominated by the NBR, was appointed as Deputy Chairman.

The meeting of the Fiscal Council was held on Monday, and the two persons were elected by secret vote.

“The meeting of the Fiscal Council during which the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman of the institution have been elected, took place on July 16, 2019. As a result of the secret vote of the members, expressed according to art. 56 of the Fiscal-Budget Responsibility Law no.69/2010, Mr. Acad. Daniel Daianu was elected as the Chairman of the Fiscal Council, while Mr. Bogdan-Octavian Cozmanca was elected as the Deputy Chairman”, reads the press release.
