GOODWINE, more than a wine fair

In the period from 22nd to 24th November, in Romexpo, B1 Pavilion, the 24th edition of the GoodWine – Bucharest Wine Fair will be held, the most long-lasting wine fair in Romania. At this edition, the visitors will also be able to taste hundreds of wines for free from top wineries from Romania and abroad, and will be able to discover the novelties proposed by the organizers.

The event is designed for both the specialists in the vine and wine industry, and for the general public. The educational side of the fair will be present through the Good Wine Academy platform that also contains, at this edition, induction modules for wine enthusiasts. These courses organized at the fair by the specialists invited by GoodWine contain information about trends, but also essential data for understanding the fascinating field of wine.

“With each edition, we strive to refine GoodWine, to reveal to the visitors as much of the effort and passion behind the top wines. Starting with the 23rd edition, since the spring, we introduced Social Area”, an area of activations dedicated to the interactive experience with the visitors (live music, lounge, recreational activities), and at the 24th edition, we launch a new much-loved project –GoodWine Friends”. It aims to be a community of professionals in the vine and wine industry, a quick and targeted communication platform, but also a social instrument inside the (community) industry. Likewise, we created” TechLounge, an area dedicated to professionals, where presentations on topics of marketing and communication will take place, especially about digital and new media, but also about technology and precision agriculture in the context of climate changes. We also developed the” GoodWine Academy”, the educational pillar of the project, by diversifying the induction courses. We assumed this educational mission from the previous edition, after examining the needs of the public increasingly interested in the wine culture. At GoodWine, we combine tradition with innovation, put together wineries and varieties with tradition, with visions and modern experiences of the producers, with the final aim of attracting new categories of public.” –  said Andreea Păunescu, CEO GoodWine.

At this new edition, the organizers reserved a special place for sparkling wines, the Bubble Glam space being an area dedicated to the mixology with them. The visitors will be greeted with a Sparkling Library, where special tastings will be organized, the host of this project being Eduard Jakab, who will present various grape varieties used in the production of wines, techniques of vinification, the correct method of serving and pairing of sparkling wines.

When it comes to lifestyle, Romania adopts international trends. This is also valid for sparkling wines. We got over the phase in which this product was consumed only on the occasion of anniversaries or at the New Year’s Eve. The sparkling wine has expanded its area of action, from holiday and romantic meetings to opulent breakfasts. Ever more Romanian producers have introduced in their portfolio this magical liquor, and at GoodWine you will discover a part of them”, said Diana Pavelescu, wine ambassador #VindinRomânia.

The courses of GoodWine Academy have been diversified at this edition. Along with Diana Pavelescu – Good Wine Ambassador, the team of trainers was completed by Simona Mardale (WineMark organizer – the first international conference dedicated to wine in Romania), Silvia Palașcă (content creator) and the international sommelier, Eduard Jakab. The topics addressed are extremely versatile, from the technology of obtaining sparkling wines to what can be considered a defect of the wine, an incursion into the world of sweet wines, but also a comparative study with 5 types of wine obtained from the same variety.
