On the 28th November, the Universul Palace in Bucharest will be the host of the 4th edition of Future Summit, an international conference about the challenges and solutions of the future, in parallel with the presentation of the 50 business ideas from the Future Makers incubator.
Organized by the Social Innovation Solutions and Global Shapers Bucharest Hub, Future Summit 2019 is supported by the Coca-Cola Foundation and eMAG.
At the Future Summit, the participants can also listen to the pitches of the 50 teams of young entrepreneurs in the Future Makers programme for investments of 20,000 euros.
Social Innovation Solutions (SIS)
SIS supports the solutions of the future through consulting, training, incubation and acceleration of start-up ideas and impact projects. We invite the best innovators in the world to Bucharest every year at the Future Summit and we go to companies and throughout the world to tell others about future trends and solutions to the social development that we inherit and create. For the past two years, the co-founders of SIS have been invited to Davos – World Economic Forum and to Harvard at Future of Europe.
Global Shapers Bucharest Hub
Initiated in Romania in 2013 by a group of young people from the ONG and private sector, Global Shapers is part of the global networks of 400 hubs of young people from 150 countries, initiated by the World Economic Forum, and is a SIS partner in youth involvement in Future Makers and Social Impact Award.
According to a press release issued by the organizers, a special guest at the conference will be Carolina Montealegre, the Innovation and Futurism Manager of Disneyland Paris. She confirmed her participation in the event on the day on which the famous animated film character and mascot of the The Walt Disney Company, Mickey Mouse, turned 91 years old. At Disneyland Paris, Carolina deals with the long-term strategy of the park and the experiences of the millions of tourists every year. Carolina is a native of Columbia and has worked in Latin America and Europe in innovation and business transformation. In the past few years, she has worked in the Global Disney Futurists Network and for the development strategy for 2050 of Val d’Europe, the town with over 30,000 inhabitants around Disneyland Paris. Along with her team, Carolina has developed an internal methodology of innovation for the future that might be used in the development of towns around the world. Thus, Carolina Montealegre joins a group of 35 international and Romanian speakers attending the event. The Global Artificial Intelligence Manager of a company in the top 10 multinational companies in the world, the inventor of the first electric air taxi who received an award in Paris in the presence of Emmanuel Macron, or the activist who plants tens of millions of trees in Africa, come to Bucharest and we will find out for the first time how the next ten years will look like and what decisions the businesses and companies have to take now.
