Vodafone acknowledged as a leader by Gartner in managed IoT services, worldwide

  • Sixth consecutive year that Vodafone is positioned highest and furthest for its ability to execute and completeness of vision, respectively, in the Leaders quadrant of Magic Quadrant

Vodafone is recognised by Gartner as a Leader in the 2019 Magic Quadrant for IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide for the 6th consecutive time.

Gartner defines a Leader in the Magic Quadrant as a company that executes well against their current vision, and is well positioned for tomorrow.

Vodafone is placed furthest to the right for completeness of vision and highest on ability to execute.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide assesses 18 organisations.

“I believe that our position as a Leader for the sixth consecutive year reflects our innovative approach to building IoT solutions and proposals,” said Erik Brenneis, Director of IoT for Vodafone Business. “Over the last 12 months we have continued to look at ways we can provide end to end solutions to our customers rather than just connectivity, helping them solve business problems, for example with fleet management and assisted living. The ARM partnership, which removes both cost and complexity for OEMs developing connected products, is another great example in this area.”

Brenneis continued: “I also believe this recognition is testament to the global IoT connectivity solutions we can provide across the Americas, Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. This year, we have established new partnerships with America Movil, China Mobile and AT&T, which means we now deliver connectivity for the customer wherever they need it.”
