Speaker Ciolacu meets U.S. Ambassador Zuckerman: Romanian Parliament is determined to ensuring a stable and transparent legislative framework

Chairman of the Deputies’ Chamber Marcel Ciolacu has met on Monday with U.S. Ambassador in Bucharest Adrian Zuckerman.

The meeting took place in the office of the Deputies’ Chamber Speaker at the Palace of Parliament and lasted approximately one hour.

According to a release issued by Marcel Ciolacu’s press office, the Chamber of Deputies’ Speaker said that Parliament is determined to contribute, according to its constitutional powers, to the creation of a favorable environment for business and investment by: increasing the predictability and transparency of fiscal legislation and ensuring a stable and transparent legislative framework, which will provide benefits to the national economy and to foreign  investors.

In turn, H.E. Mr. Adrian Zuckerman said that the United States of America is and will be Romania’s best friend in the region and that it will provide all the necessary support for deepening the strategic partnership, both from a military point of view, as well as from an economic point of view and the rule of law, the same source mentions.
