PM-designate Orban : I will submit to Parliament on Monday Gov’t list, updated governing program

Premier-designate Ludovic Orban announced on Friday in Bals – Olt County, that he will submit on Monday to Parliament the list of proposed ministers and the updated governing program in order to start procedures for the installation of the new government, yet not before calling a meeting of the National Liberal Party’s National Political Bureau.

Asked about the possibility that Parliament rejects the proposed lineup, the Prime Minister replied: “It’s a mandatory requirement to get to early elections.”

He reiterated that according to the Houses’ Regulation of Procedure and to the provisions of the Constitution, “within 15 days from the presentation of the government list and of the governing program, Parliament must schedule the plenary meeting that is to vote in the proposed government.”

“I am a team person, I am very happy with all the ministers, with the entire team, I have absolutely no reason to express any dissatisfaction with any of my colleagues. At this moment we exercise government powers, of course, with the limits imposed by the Constitution following the success of the censure motion, but I say this again, Romania is in good hands, we tend to the problems of the country and solve them fast and with professionalism,” Orban said.
