From the first delivery, to a business worth 17.5 million euros
10 years after sending their first ever envelope, Pink Post, leader of the private postal services market in Romania, announces their financial results for 2019, an overview of a decade worth of activity and their plans for the future.
Only in 2019, the company sent out over 108 million postal items, adding up approximately 30% of the total mailed envelopes on a national level. In the direct mail advertising segment, the company delivered over 242 million items last year alone.
Started in 2010, Pink Post has become the biggest private postal services operator judging by mailings numbers, by delivering 650 million envelopes between 2010 and 2019 and 833 million addressed and unaddressed advertising flyers, contributing with approximately 29.4 million euros to the country’s budget. The company closed 2019 with a turnover of 17.5 million euros, with a 5% growth from last year.
In 2010, we were starting a postal services company, with the wish to create a transparent business model and to become a viable partner for the companies in Romania. We grew alongside our clients, we learned from their needs and starting from these, we created services and operational tactics that did not exist prior. 10 years later, their needs still undergo fast paced changes and we keep on evolving by their side, while keeping our promises, Cristi Petcu, Pink Post General Manager.
After 10 years in which the Pink Post couriers have walked around 20 million kilometers and drove 35 million kilometers to deliver hundreds of envelopes to romanians across the country, the company now has a fleet of 200 cars and a team of over 1600 employees who deliver for over 200 clients, counting some of the biggest companies from the utilities, retail, finance and banking or telecom industries.
Judging by the number of mailings sent out in 2019, Bucharest and Ilfov count the biggest volumes, comprising 28% of the national total. The most active Pink Post subsidiaries in Romania are:
- Pink Post Constanța – 7.4 mill addressed and 11,5 mill unaddressed mailings
- Pink Post Cluj – 2,8 mill addressed and 15 mill unaddressed mailings
- Pink Post Prahova – 5.7 mill addressed and 7.5 mill unaddressed mailings
- Pink Post Brașov – 5 mill addressed and 6.9 unaddressed mailings
- Pink Post Timiș – 4.1 mill addressed and 7.5 mill unaddressed mailings
About Pink Post
Pink Post’s history began in 2009, when Total Post, the postal services company, was founded. Two years later, in 2011, Total Post acquired TCE Post and in 2017, the company announced the extension of its operations by merging with Postmaster. The fusion was quickly followed by a rebranding process that resulted in Pink Post, part of the Radu Holding Group. Today, the company offers its clients postal services and express mailings on a national level, thanks to a network of 60 subsidiaries localized in the most important cities in Romania.
In 2019, the company announced new track & trace courier services. These are especially focused on small packages mailings in the B2B sector. The Pink Post express services do not copy the classic courier or ecommerce recipes, but instead try to accommodate company specific needs.
Recent investments, that exceed 1.5 million euros, were directed towards developing software apps for these services, growing their fleet, modernizing their hubs and hiring professional personnel.
