The largest technology festival in Romania continues the preparations for the fifth edition. Bucharest Tech Week will take place between the 18-24th of May, at Radisson Blu Hotel and Piata Universitatii, as previously planned. However, if COVID-19’s situation develops unfavorably in the next period the event will be postponed to a date that will be announced later.
The event organizers are informed about the effects generated by COVID-19 and are closely linked with the authorities, supporting and respecting all measures taken by them to prevent the spreading of the virus.
“We are closely watching the evolution of the pandemic crisis. We are always in touch with the authorities, and with the partners who have already joined us. Moreover, we also stay in touch with those who are about to join to help us identify the best option to ensure the smooth operation of our event in May. We are already preparing back-up options in case the situation requires us to reschedule the event.
At UNIVERSUM, we strongly believe that we have a sacred debt to all our stakeholders: to guarantee the safety of our participants and to make every effort to bring technology back to our audience through high-quality events, as soon as the situation allows us. Now, as we are forced by circumstances to keep all our business interactions at a distance, we acknowledge how useful technology can be in overcoming such unpredictable situations.” – said Alexandru Maxineanu, Concept Tech Events division manager at UNIVERSUM.
The organizing team continues to work in setting up all the details of the event so that this year’s edition will take place under optimal conditions. The highlights of Bucharest Tech Week in 2020 are:
- Over 25,000 visitors are expected at Tech Expo, at Piata Universitatii, to interact with tech solutions such as robots, drones, 3D printers, electric and hybrid cars, smart home solutions, gadgets and many more.
