ForMin Aurescu to participate in informal meeting of EU foreign ministers regarding COVID-19 pandemic

Foreign Affairs Minister Bogdan Aurescu will participate on Monday in the informal meeting of heads of diplomacies of the European Union member states, which will be carried out through a videoconference system, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) release issued  on Sunday, also debated will be the measures which should be taken in view of implementing the decisions within the videoconference at the heads of state and government level, held on 17 March, also attended by President Klaus Iohannis.

The EU foreign affairs ministers will also tackle current matters, mainly regarding the developments in Syria and Turkey. Thus, the discussions carried out within Gymnich informal meeting and those within the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) extraordinary meeting (Zagreb, 5-6 March), namely the visit to Brussels (9 March) of President Recep Erdogan, will be continued, the MAE informs.
