Romania coronavirus death toll hits 26

Romania novel coronavirus death toll hits 26, after the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) on Friday announced the death of an 65-year-old man of Timisoara.

The man was admitted to the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases of Timișoara on March 10, and from March 25 he was intubated in the ATI section. He was confirmed positively  with COVID-19  on Friday and died in the same day.

Case number 25 is a 81-year-old man from Bucharest who was admitted at the Sfantul Ioan Hospital on 26 March, being afterwards transferred to the ICU of the Matei Bals Infectious Diseases National Institute, where he found his death on Friday.

To date, there are 1292 coronavirus cases registered in the country, and 115 people have been cured.
