GCS: Romania coronavirus death toll reaches 146

Six more persons have died in Romania because of the coronavirus, with the death toll reaching thus 146, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informed on Saturday.

The persons in questions are from Hunedoara (3), Suceava (2) and Bucharest (1).

*Death case no. 141 was a man of 52 from the Hunedoara County who suffered from liver cirrhosis, admitted to the Hunedoara Municipal Hospital – the Infectious Diseases Section, on March 31, and then transferred to the ICU of the same hospital. He was tested on March 31 and confirmed to have coronavirus on April 3.

*Death case no. 142 was a man of 78 from Hunedoara who also had lung cancer. He was admitted to the Hunedoara Municipal Hospital – the Infectious Diseases Section, on March 31, and then transferred to the ICU of the same hospital. He was tested on March 31 and confirmed to have coronavirus on April 3.

*Death case no. 143 was a woman of 79 from the Hunedoara County, who also had stomach and breast cancer. She was admitted to the same section of the Hunedoara Municipal Hospital on March 31. She got tested and died on March 31. She was confirmed to have had coronavirus after the results of the test came in on April 2.

*Death case no. 144 was a man of 53 from Bucharest admitted to the “Matei Bals” Hospital on March 24. He died on April 4 after being confirmed to have coronavirus on March 24.

*Death case no. 145 is a man of 84 from Suceava. He was admitted to the hospital on March 27 and tested on the same day. The confirmation came on April 2 and he died on April 3. His daughter was also previously confirmed with COVID-19.

*Death case no. 146 was a man of 61 from Suceava with comorbidities – Parkinson disease. He was admitted to hospital on March 13, tested on March 27 and confirmed to be positive on April 3. He died on March 31.
