The Alexandrion Foundation will be actively involved and will make a number of donations to the Mia’s Children Association to provide the 45 children educated and cared for in the center managed by the association, with the opportunity to continue their studies and grow in an environment where they are protected and mentored.
The 45 children helped by the Mia’s Children Association come from disadvantaged backgrounds, but have been given the chance to overcome their condition and become adults with beautiful professions and happy lives. They are children of all ages, who before coming to Mia’s Children were living in very difficult conditions, in which their health was in danger, and their parents could not financially support them to study or follow their passions. Now they are studying different subjects, some of them are very talented and paint or play musical instruments, they play together and, most importantly, here they are protected and loved. The Alexandrion Foundation is supporting these children and helping them overcome this difficult period, marked by material needs and shortcomings, in order to continue to develop beautifully and healthily.
Over the years, the Alexandrion Foundation has supported, in various forms, the education of children from rural schools, placement centers and non-governmental organizations throughout the country, providing materials for refurbishment and equipment, as well as products and financing educational programmes. The school from Brâncoveni village, Red Cross Brașov, Save the Children Foundation, Negru Vodă-Galați Placement Center and the Children in Distress Foundation, are among the organizations that Alexandrion Foundation supported in the past.
«We are all going through dramatic moments, in which the fight between good and bad is becoming more accute. People are worried, unprepared, fearful of something that they don’t know yet how long it’s going to last and what effects might have. We live here with 45 children that nobody is asking about. The system has forgotten about them, as always and they don’t have parents. Yet they live, hear, worry when they hear about this «monster», this virus they don’t understand, but about which they found out that it is dangerours and threatening the whole humankind. And they have very few friends, people to whom they can talk about their worries, that can comfort and encourage them. Much less get a hug from. Alexandrion Foundation understood the needs and challenges we are facing these days and made a beautiful, human gesture, for which we are grateful. We would like to thank them for the support they are offering us during this time and we are happy that companies that focus on the needs of disadvatanged children, still exist», said Mia Scarlat, the founder of Mia’s Children.
