Iohannis praises the activity of the Protection and Guard Service on the occasion of the 30th anniversary

On Thursday, President Klaus Iohannis sent a message on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Protection and Guard Service (SPP), stating that in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic it is important for the SPP to continue to adapt its methods and means for carrying out its missions.

“This day marks a special moment in the history of the Protection and Guard Service – the 30th anniversary of its establishment, as a state authority with responsibilities within the national security system. During these three decades of activity, you have stood out through professionalism and competence in carrying out all missions carried out both nationally and internationally. The adaptability and constant concern for improving individual and collective performance have increased the efficiency of collaboration with other component institutions of the national security system, such as the national security system. Today’s anniversary comes at a difficult time when the whole of humanity is facing a pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Moreover, in this complicated global context, marked by many security challenges and uncertainties, it is all the more important to continue to adapt your methods and means for carrying out the missions specific to a modern, efficient structure ready to act under risky conditions,” reads the message of the head of state sent by the Presidential Administration.

President Iohannis expresses his appreciation for the entire activity that the Protection and Guard Service carries out in the service of Romania.

“I encourage you to perform your missions with the same devotion and loyalty to the country, consolidating the prestige gained during all these years. In this way, I convey to the entire staff of your institution wishes for health and strength of work, together with my full consideration. Many happy returns!”, the head of state also transmitted.
