Deloitte, recognized as the Tax Firm of the Year at the 2020 European Tax Awards

Deloitte was awarded the Tax Firm of the Year in Europe and in the CEE Region, for its remarkable achievements in Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Slovakia, at the 2020 European Tax Awards, organized by the prestigious International Tax Review (ITR) publication.

Deloitte was also named the Tax Innovator of the Year and the Tax Compliance and Reporting Firm of the Year during the 16th edition of the competition, which recognizes innovative, breakthrough and valuable projects, based on reviews conducted by ITR journalists, market research and clients’ and professionals’ feedback.

Deloitte’s Tax practice in Romania is a leader in its field and it provides a broad range of fully integrated tax services, from corporate and local income tax, indirect taxation, customs, global employer services, to transfer pricing and business process solutions, through approximately 200 professionals.

Besides the traditional tax services provided to clients, Deloitte Romania’s Tax practice also provides in-house developed digital solutions, such as PartnerSCAN app, which allows companies to assess the potential tax risk of their business partners, D.Tax, an innovative application dedicated to VAT reporting, Total Rewards, an automated tool allowing companies to model their HR policies, a calculator that estimates wage costs for employers which are affected by the restrictions imposed in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and which can no longer fully support the payment of wages.
