GCS: 269 new cases of coronavirus infections reported in Romania, total case count reaches 26,582

Another 269 cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been reported in Romania since the latest update sent by the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the total number of cases reaching 26,582 on Monday.

At the moment, 210 patients are hospitalized in ICU.

Of the people who tested positive, 18,912 were declared cured and discharged from hospital.

To date, 699,688 tests have been processed nationwide, according to GCS.


ASSMB: 306 people hospitalized at “Victor Babes” Hospital, 112 patients at Colentina Hospital


A number of 306 patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus are currently hospitalized at “Dr. Victor Babes” Infectious and Tropical Diseases, of whom seven are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), whereas a number of 112 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised at the Colentina Clinical Hospital, of whom 14 are in the ICU, according to a release of the Bucharest Hospitals and Medical Services Administration (ASSMB) sent to AGERPRES on Monday.

According to the quoted source, the total number of patients confirmed with COVID-19 and admitted in the two hospitals since the beginning of the pandemic is 2,548.
