Prime Minister Ludovic Orban has said on Monday that the escalation of infection cases with the novel coronavirus in the last ten days calls for caution in terms of further relaxation measures and announced that he will convene on Wednesday ministers and institutions in charge to perform an analysis of the plan of measures, so as to ensure compliance with the rules.
“On Wednesday I will convene all ministers and all state institutions that have control remits, from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the Police and Gendarmerie, to the Ministry of Health, with the public health directorates, the National Authority for Consumer Protection, the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority, to make an analysis of the measure plan to ensure rule observance. It has become clear that in many places the rules are not followed and there is an increased risk of transmitting the virus due to non-compliance with the rules. (…),” Orban pointed out, after participating in the Assembly of the members of the Coalition for the Development of Romania.
He voiced concern about the images that appeared in the public space where people no longer respect the distance at the terraces.
