Burger King is thanking the delivery people through the #IsolationLookWhopper campaign

In the new context of recent months, Amrest, a leading European restaurant and foodservice platform, has been near Burger King fans through food delivery services. The three restaurants, University Square, Mega Mall and AFI Cotroceni, have been supporting almost 600 orders every day in the past three months between 9 a.m – 10 p.m.

Burger King adapted its services quickly to the new context and offered customers the opportunity to enjoy the fresh taste of its products in the comfort of their homes. With the help of the delivery partners – Glovo, FoodPanda and Takeaway.com – the orders quickly reached the clients, a press release issued by the company informs.

The famous Whopper burger has enjoyed the wide open doors of customers, despite the challenges of the new context and had some amazing results as well:

  • 57.564 customers surprised by the delivery
  • 100 employees who have prepared the orders safely for customers
  • 57.564 orders; 576 per day
  • 14.836 Whopper burgers sold
  • 10.084 #stayhome menus sold

That is why, between the 7th – 11th of July, Burger King decided to reward their dedicated partners – the delivery people – with a free Whopper burger for every order registered in the food delivery apps through the #isolationlookwhopper campaign. Because Burger King knows all the challenges faced by the delivery people to fulfill every delivery request in these past months: the rain, the queues, the fear of virus and let’s face it – the lockdown home look. Now Burger King is saying thank you for the effort and of course, sorry for the lockdown home look. For each delivery order, Burger King will offer to the deliveryman a Whopper burger in the name of the person that orders directly from the app.

“We always like to stand by our customers, to continually give them the same unique taste and welcome them with smiles in our restaurants. Even though lately it has been difficult to meet due to the social distancing rules, we confidently approached our clients through the food delivery partners, who have been supporting us during this period. Because of the great results achieved, we decided it’s the time to thank them so we created the #IsolationLookWhopper campaign. For five days, for the first 90 orders, we will offer free Whopper burgers from Burger King to the delivery people in the name of the person who ordered from us”, stated Alan Laughlin, President of Burger King AmRest.
