GCS: 413 new case of infection with coronavirus, total case load reaches 32,948

Another 413 cases of infection with the novel coronavirus were reported since the last informative bulletin sent by the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the total number of cases reaching on Monday the sum of 32,948.

In the ICU units, at this time, there are 235 patients admitted.

Of the persons confirmed positive, 23,552 were discharged. Of them, 21,692 are cured patients, while 1,860 – asymptomatic carriers discharged 10 days after being confirmed positive. At the same time, up to now, 573 patients that have tested positive were discharged upon their request.

 

Another 17 deaths in novel coronavirus infected persons take the death toll to 1.901

 

In the past 24 hours another 17 people died from the novel coronavirus infection, taking the death toll of the COVID-19 deaths to 1,901, on Monday informs the Strategic Communication Group (GCS).

“Between 12.07.2020 (10:00) – 13.07.2020 (10:00) there were 17 deaths (12 men and 5 women) of patients infected with the novel coronavirus, in hospitals in Arges, Braila, Brasov, Buzau, Constanta, Dambovita, Galati, Mehedinti, Mures, Olt, Prahova and Sibiu counties, to which adds Bucharest,” the GCS says.

Of these, two deaths were recorded in the age category 40-49 years, two deaths in the age group 50-59 years, six deaths in the age category 60-69 years, five deaths in the age group 70-79 years and two deaths in people over 80 years of age.

According to the cited source, 16 of the deaths are of some patients who had comorbidities. No comorbidities were reported for one death.

 

Coronavirus case count: Suceava County – 4,177, Bucharest City – 3,856, three counties past 1,000-line

 

Romania’s areas with the highest coronavirus caseloads are northeastern Suceava County – with 4,177 cases, Bucharest City – 3,856, and seven other counties – Arges, Brasov, Botosani, Galati, Vrancea, Neamt and Iasi – with more than 1,000 illnesses each.

 

Romania has a total of 32,948 people confirmed as infected with the novel coronavirus, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informs.

1,434 fines in past 24hrs, for not respecting measures to combat COVID-19 pandemic

 

Policemen and gendarmes applied, in past 24 hours, 1,434 fines, worth 264,570 RON, following breaches of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 regarding some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informs on Monday.

According to the quoted source, in the past 24 hours, 328 calls to the single emergency line 112 were made.
