Bucharest mayor hopeful Nicusor Dan, backed by the USR PLUS Alliance and the National Liberal Party (PNL), filed Sunday his candidacy for the office of general mayor of the Capital City.
On this occasion he criticized the fact that incumbent mayor Gabriela Firea seeks another term.
“How can you seek a new term in office when you promised a traffic revolution and in four years you were not able to modernize a tram line, you were not able to buy a tram, despite having EU funds for that. How can you ask for a new term in office, when your people were displayed in formation at the August 10 rally? Does the incumbent mayor rely on the tens of millions she has forked out for advertisement in order to trick the Bucharesters into thinking that life in their city is good?,” Nicusor Dan inquired, according to Agerpres.
The candidate for Bucharest mayor was accompanied at the Municipal Electoral Bureau by the PNL Chairman, Prime Minister Ludovic Orban, by USR PLUS co-Chairman Dan Barna, as well as by the candidates supported by PNL and USR PLUS for sector mayors.
