Parliamentary Elections 2020. CURS-Avangarde exit poll: Senate – PSD: 30.6%, PNL: 29.1%; Chamber – PSD: 30.5%, PNL: 29%. BEC voter turnout: 31,84 %

The Social Democratic Party (PSD) garnered 30.6% of the votes cast in Sunday’s parliamentary elections nationwide, and 30.5% of the votes for the Chamber of Deputies, whereas the National Liberal Party (PNL) won 29.1% of the votes for the Senate, and 29% percent for the Chamber of Deputies, according to the results of the exit poll carried out by CURS – Avangarde, commissioned by Antena 3, for 19:00hrs.

Third comes the Save Romania Union – Liberty, Unity, Solidarity Party (USR-PLUS) Alliance, which obtained 16.4% for the Senate and 15.9% for the Chamber.

The Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) obtained 5.7% for the Senate and 5.7% for the Chamber of Deputies, The People’s Movement Party (PMP) – 5% for the Senate and 5% for the Chamber, and Pro Romania has 5% of the votes for the Senate and 5% for the Chamber.

According to the exit poll, the Alliance for the Unity of Romanians (AUR) garnered 5.3% of the votes for the Senate and 5.2% for the Chamber.

The polling stations organized nationwide for the appointment of future deputies and senators have closed on Sunday at 21:00 hrs, with a voter turnout of 31.84%.

 

BEC voter turnout: 31,84 %, namely 5,793,135 voters

 

The nationwide turnout in the parliamentary elections, on Sunday, until 21:00rhs, stood at 31.84%, namely 5,793,135 voters, according to the data announced by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC).

In the urban area, 3,125,700 voters went to the polls, and in rural areas – 2,667,435.

A total of 70,899 voters voted by mobile ballot box.

In Bucharest, 31.16% of voters turned out to vote. In Sector 1, 37.96% of the total registered voters went to the polls, in Sector 2 – 32.50%, in Sector 3 – 26.57%, in Sector 4 – 32.27%, in Sector 5 – 27.99% and in Sector 6 – 33.30%.

The highest turnout was registered in teh counties of Mehedinti – 42.61%; Olt – 37.63% and Teleorman – 37.61%, and the lowest in Vaslui – 23.55%; Ialomita – 26.21% and Iasi – 26.78%.
