A warehouse at CTPark Bucharest West awarded the best logistic building in Romania

The 700m long high-performance building of 140 000 sqm will turn carbon neutral next year

CTP was awarded best Warehouse Development & Developer at CIJ AWARDS Romania, the longest-running commercial property awards event in the Romania, at the 3 December gala. The trophey represents a recognition of CTP’s success story as a European developer on the Romanian market. In only five years, the company has become the leading premium industrial parks developer in the country, offering high-performance logistical solutions to its clients.

CTP‘s winning project is Warehouse BUW17, the largest high-performance building in Romania, with a total area of 140.000 sqm. The new warehouse, built within CTPark Bucharest West, located on the A1 Motorway, at km 23, is a one-piece building with 140 docks, 15 drive-ins and 700 m length, thus delivering high performance for its users. Moreover, it exceeds all standards in Romania: has full LED lighting, uses the gray water installation from the retention basin, and like most CTP buildings, has BREEAM certification. CTP’s investment in the project amounts to 60 million euro.

Furthermore, the company aims to neutralize its carbon footprint by 2023, by relying on two main strategic directions: BREEAM certification of the entire building portfolio and the creation and conservation of forests in the immediate neighbourhood of the newly built warehouses. Already, 95% of CTP’s portfolio in Romania holds a BREEAM certification.

Ana Dumitrache, Country Manager CTP Romania, comments: “It is a real honour to be credited by industry professionals for a project we pride ourselves on. CTPark Bucharest West is part of the initiative to help build a better future. The park has been designed to meet the highest standards of efficiency, comfort and sustainability that any partner needs. This award strengthens our confidence in the sustainability of our projects and we would like to thank our customers for making us their first option.”

CTP entered the market in 2015, and became an industry leader soon. Currently, it has 15 successfull logistical parks (CTPark) in Romania, with a GLA of over 1,250,000 sqm of Class A warehouses spread in 10 cities. CTPark Bucharest West, where the new warehouse is located, has a strategic location on the country’s logistics map, with access to the A1 highway and offers more than 200,000 m2 lettable area for over 100 companies operating in the ecommerce and logistics fields. CTP owns a gross lettable area of 6 million m2 at European level and aims to extend it to 10 million m2 by 2023.
