The first edition of Classy Film Festival will be held between 20-23rd of May 2021

The first edition of CLASSY FILM FESTIVAL will take place between 20-23rd of May 2021 at Happy Cinema Bucharest and Bacău, and online.

CLASSY FILM FESTIVAL is dedicated to movies that made history and will be an unforgetable experience for any moviegoer. The selection includes cult films, retro films, true cultural references, films that have influenced the world. The festival proposes a rediscovery of the elegant atmosphere of old Hollywood, of the “golden age” stars and of the productions that marked generations.

This first edition offers the public a selection of memorable films, cinematic masterpieces that constantly offer us new horizons and new ideas.

Sunset Boulevard, directed by Billy Wilder (1950), Roman Holiday by William Wyler (1953), Vertigo by Alfred Hitchcock (1958), 2001: A Space Odyssey by Stanley Kubrick (1968), and many other films from the classic world heritage will captivate the audience during the four days of the festival. There are “unmissable” movies that will impress those who see them at first sight, or will delight those who want to see them again on the big screen.

The festival will also take place online on the streaming platform Happy Cinema, where a series of classic comedies will be avalible.

The event is organized by the Asociația Proiector, that was founded out of passion for visual arts, theater and alternative education in order to improve access to culture, visual and film education.
