But what are the favourite phones of Romanians and for how long do they use them?

According to an online survey conducted on the Telekom Romania website between March 10-11, 2021, attended by 9905 respondents, Samsung is the mobile phones brand used by the majority of the Telekom’s customers, which registered over half of the total options expressed (58.5%).

In the category “Other used phone brands”, which registered a percentage of 6.7%, Telekom’s customers indicated Nokia, Motorola, Oppo, HTC, LG, Allview, Asus, iHunt, Sony, Alcatel, Lenovo.

When it comes to the period they use the mobile devices, over 40% of respondents said they have owned the current phone for two years or more. The frequency with which new phone models are launched, the attractiveness of the new features, but also the offers provided by the manufacturers and operators could be the main factors that underlie the decision to purchase a new device.

Thus, customers can purchase, together with a mobile subscription with 4G internet, for real, unlimited national minutes and SMS, a mobile phone in instalments on the Telekom bill, without bank credit, without interest and without advance. They can choose, for example, from Samsung Galaxy A12 at 7 euros/month, Samsung Galaxy A51 at 9 euros/month, Huawei P smart 2021 at 6 euros/month, Huawei P40 Lite at 8 euros/month or Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro at 8 euro/month (phone prices include VAT).
