This March marks 1 year since the whole Adobe Romania team, more than 700 employees based in Bucharest area, work from home.
During this period, the teams managed to remain connected and engaged thanks to over 70 online events dedicated to employees – workshops, fun contests, hobby webinars, team buildings – and over 50 training sessions that supported professional development in the pandemic.
Adapting to work from home also meant offering each employee a budget to create a suitable workspace at home, but also time for the family: the company granted 12 additional days off for all Adobe employees around the world.
Employee experience moved online
The beginning of the epidemiological crisis has changed the way Adobe employees work globally, including for the local 700 people of Adobe Romania. Although the company’s physical offices have been closed since March 2020, employees have continued to interact remotely, moving online the moments of connection, exchange of ideas, fun or interaction.
Adobe Romania relied on daily meetings, one-on-one sessions, but also multiple All Employee Meetings, Q&A and All Hands sessions, so that all team members stayed informed about news and decisions regarding the company approach in the context of CoVid-19 and the development directions of the organization.
In addition, Adobe Romania teams have remained connected throughout this unpredictable year by participating in over 70 online events and experiences. These included personal development and hobby webinars, team building, internal cooking challenge, photography and more, all conducted online.
Supporting productivity and wellbeing
Adobe employees around the world received financial resources to arrange a comfortable workspace at home, which would maintain their productivity and comfort during daily work hours. They also received funding for wellbeing programs, which came in support of maintaining work-life balance, but also to encourage their physical activities and hobbies.
Adobe Romania’s education programs continue
Between March 2020 and March 2021, Adobe Romania employees continued to be involved in supporting education in technology and software development in Romania. They participated in a series of online events and job fairs at top tech universities in Bucharest, where they met with more than 2,000 students.
Additionally, the company interacts annually with hundreds of children, students, and young people from all over the country, promoting and supporting education, personal and professional development through technology. Adobe Romania employees offer tutoring lessons, mentorship, and digital competencies training for underprivileged children in rural areas. This program has been running for over 6 months.
