HealthMin Voiculescu: We are facing a pretty critical situation

The Minister of Health, Vlad Voiculescu, on Friday told a videoconference that the current medical situation in Romania in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic is “quite critical,” and there are no reasons to think that things will become “easier” in the near future.

The Ministry of Health is organizing a video conference on the involvement of other medical specialties in the treatment of COVID-19 patients, which is also attended by Secretary of State Andreea Moldovan and specialists from the country and abroad.

According to Voiculescu, a rapid adjustment to good practices in the field is needed.

“We are facing a quite critical situation at the moment and we have no reason to believe that things will become much easier for hospitals, for doctors and, in fact, for everyone in the near future, so we need to learn and we need to adjust quickly to what is already good practice and good treatment of patients and protocols and the observance of rules and lessons learned,” the Minister said, according to Agerpres.
