Scooterson, a manufacturer of electric scooters that use artificial intelligence, teleoperation, and automated driving technologies, aims to obtain 740,000 euros through the investment platform for technology startups SeedBlink. The listing took place on Thursday, April 8.
The money will be used over the next 18 months for the launch campaign, production, marketing, and sales.
Scooterson addresses both consumer customers and the business segment: food delivery companies, couriers, large residential centers, tourist centers (especially resorts), university campuses, industrial parks, golf clubs (as an alternative to golf buggies).
Scooterson was founded in California in 2016 by Mihnea de Vries (CEO) – a Romanian entrepreneur with 25 years of experience in technology, marketing, and video production – and Deepansh Jain (CTO), a serial entrepreneur from India. Mihnea de Vries (51 years old) founded 1996 the company EuroNet, the first internet provider in Arad and one of Romania’s first.
Funding attracted so far: 3.2 million euros

Through Scooterson we wanted to develop a solution adapted to the future. A solution that means not only hardware but especially deep-tech, technology based on artificial intelligence, teleoperation, and automatic driving”, says Mihnea de Vries, co-founder and CEO of Scooterson.
The launch of Scooterson will occur at the end of Q2 2021 after a campaign through the Indiegogo platform. So far, the company has attracted $ 3.2 million in funding in the US market.

With the founders in Singapore, India and the USA, Scooterson has truly become a multinational company, keeping its Romanian fiber in terms of industrial design through the designer Ionut Predescu. Discussions that the production for Europe to be made in Romania
In 2021 Scooterson founders are focusing on US sales, and from 2022 they plan to develop the company globally. They are also in talks with a Romanian company that Scooterson production for Europe to be made in Romania.
For this year, Scooterson’s management estimates revenue of approximately $ 5 million from sales through Indiegogo, online retail, and the business-to-business segment. By 2023, the founders are counting on sales of up to $ 100 million.
