Filip & Company commits to Net-Zero carbon emissions by December 2024

Filip & Company has announced last week  its intention to reduce its carbon emissions to net zero by 2024.

The firm will reduce its carbon emissions in a number of ways, including using clean energy, improving energy efficiency, expanding recycling initiatives and incorporating recycled products in its activities, reducing the use of plastic, paper and other consumables, working with suppliers and other partners who are also committed to reducing emissions, the firm will also be supporting initiatives that remove carbon dioxide emissions released in the atmosphere.

„We take a long-term view to value generation and we believe committing to Net Zero is an important decision for preserving our environment, of which we and our children are a part. We are keenly aware of the significant impact that humans have on the planet and we believe each contribution towards a low carbon society is a vital manifestation of both duty and hope”,  said Cristina Filip, managing partner Filip & Company.

Filip & Company is also the first Romanian law firm to join the Legal Sustainability Alliance, an inclusive movement of law firms and those in the legal profession committed to working together to take action on climate change by reducing their carbon footprint and adopting environmentally sustainable practices.

The firm will publish annual updates on its progress towards achieving the net-zero carbon target in the firm’s Responsible Business Report.
