Utku Ogrendil has been appointed CEO of PayPoint Romania. With an extensive experience in the financial-banking field, he will focus on strengthening the company’s position locally, with a focus on innovation. The new CEO of PayPoint Romania studied business administration at the University of Hartford. He has over 15 years of experience in the financial-banking industry and has held, over time, management positions in important banking institutions.

“Throughout its 14 years of operation in the local market, PayPoint has invested in technology and infrastructure to provide customers and partners with secure and efficient solutions and services, maintaining its position as the leading operator of cash payments and electronic top-up in Romania. We believe that opportunities for development and innovation continue to exist, therefore strengthening this position and improving our digital presence are two of the company’s main goals for the future.” – Utku Ogrendil, CEO of PayPoint Romania

PayPoint Romania reported gross assets of £48.5 million at the end of March 2020.

Through its over 19,000 terminals located throughout the country and partnerships with over 210 providers of telecommunications, utilities, transportation and financial services, the company collects over 100 million bill payments for 85% of Romanian providers of utilities and telecommunications. PayPoint Romania also offers top-up and money transfer services and allows payment by credit or debit card.
