Havi Logistics opens the largest distribution center in Romania – Chitila Logistics Hub

Global Supply Chain Leader, HAVI Logistics joins the Chitila Logistics Hub’s industrial community, a project developed by Globalworth and Global Vision near Bucharest. Here, HAVI will open its largest distribution center in Romania on a total area of 21,000 square meters which will include temperature-controlled spaces, storage and offices.

“We experience growing demand in the industrial sector for temperature-controlled spaces, and the presence of a strong partner such as HAVI in Chitila Logistics Hub motivated us to continue exploring this direction, which we intend to expand in the future. We welcome the HAVI team to our community and are confident that this partnership will be a long-term one”, said Mihai Zaharia (photo), Globalworth Romania Investment Director and Globalworth Group Capital Markets Director.

HAVI is the preferred distribution partner of the leading brands active in quick service restaurants and convenience segments.  In Romania, it operates in the distribution centers in Deva and near Bucharest, in Chitila.

“We are honored by the partnership we are starting with an internationally renowned operator such as HAVI. Less than a year after the reception of the first unit in Chitila Logistics Hub, we have managed to create a strong, resilient, and innovation-oriented business ecosystem, gathering leaders in their industries such as Mega Image, eMAG, Green Net and now HAVI. Together with our partner Globalworth, we continue to expand our business parks and logistics hubs and intend to strengthen this collaboration for future projects, in strategic locations”, says Sorin Preda, CEO & Founder of Global Vision.

The first unit within the Chitila Logistics Hub, with an area of 23,000 square meters, was delivered last year, at the end of summer and attracted in a very short time tenants from industries such as retail, e-commerce, food and beverage and pharma.

Chitila Logistics Hub benefits from a strategic location, with excellent connectivity in terms of infrastructure. The logistics park is located in the vicinity of the capital’s ring road, the A1 Motorway and one of the most important railway junctions in Romania. It also offers easy access to DN7, the road that connects with the central area of Bucharest.

Besides Chitila Logistics Hub, Globalworth and Global Vision also develop in partnership Constanța Business Park, a large regional transformation project, that spreads over an area of 1 million square meters, near Constanța Port. The first logistics unit of over 20,000 sqm has already been delivered and leased to companies such as Mobexpert and PepsiCo.
