Telekom Romania, Client of the Year and the highest performance at the Effie 2021 Gala

The Effie 2021 Gala, the most important competition of the Romanian advertising industry, brought seven awards for Telekom Romania, as a recognition of the efficiency and impact of the campaigns on the business and brand results.

Telekom Romania received 2 Gold Awards for the Online Park campaign, in the Timely Opportunity and Social Good Brands categories, 3 Silver Effie Awards for Ghiță ported to Telekom and Smart TV Stick campaigns, in the Telecommunications category, as well as FanAfaceriMici, in the Business to Business category, plus 1 Bronze Award for FanAfaceriMici, in the Timely Opportunity category. In addition, the The Online Park campaign also received the grand award of the gala, Grand Effie 2021, and Telekom Romania received, for the fourth consecutive year, the title Client of the Year, being the brand with the highest communication performance in Romania.

“For Telekom Romania, Effie represents the certification of the performance of communication efforts, of the measurable and demonstrable impact that the work of our team and the work of the partner agencies have on the business and brand results. At the same time, the Effie Awards mean the proof of the efficiency with which we invest promotion budgets, validation of the brand, communication and media strategy and, at the same time, it means motivation and recognition, both very valuable for the teams involved. The designation for the fourth consecutive year as Customer of the Year honours us and determines us to continue with the same ambition, to offer real benefits to our customers, but also to implement projects with an important social component”, said Andreas Elsner, Chief Commercial Officer, Residential Segment, Telekom Romania.

“We are proud to receive the industry’s recognition for both the effectiveness of our tactical campaigns, which have helped us achieve our business goals and attract customers from the competition, such as Ghiță ported to Telekom or Telekom Smart TV Stick, and at the same time for the performance and impact of our projects with objectives above revenues and market share, those projects that define the Telekom brand as a <<brand with a higher purpose>>, such as the Online Park or FanAfaceriMici. Through these campaigns, Telekom reconfirmed the desire and involvement to put technology to work for the good of Romanians, to change their lives for the better, to help no one be left behind and to come up with solutions to the hotspots of the society, whether we are talking about the safety of children or entrepreneurs affected by the pandemic”, added Ruxandra Rău, Brand & Communication Strategy Director, Telekom Romania.

All the award-winning campaigns were realised with the support of Leo Burnett Agency, winner of the Agency of the Year award in the last four years.

Effie is the most important award in the advertising industry in Romania, because it honours the one truly important achievement in advertising: Results. It is the award presented annually in recognition of the most effective advertising campaigns, which have delivered superior results in meeting or exceeding the objectives they were designed to achieve. Effie is a national award spread internationally and it has been organized since 1968.
