Valea Izvoarelor Senior Living, senior care service provider, is investing 6 million EUR in Cluj Senior Village, the first residential complex for people over the age of 55, in Romania. The residential complex will be inaugurated next year and it includes 64 apartments for sale, with prices ranging between 41,000 EUR and 94,000 EUR.

The residential complex is located in Apahida commune, 10 km from Cluj and 8 km from Avram Iancu Airport. It covers a private plot of 11,000 square meters, landscaped as a park. The residential complex is available only to the senior owners who make up the Cluj Senior Village community.

64 apartments with areas ranging between 27 and 56 sqm

The residential complex will include 64 apartments with areas ranging between 27 and 57 sqm: 50 Studio apartments of 27 sqm (one room, kitchenette, hallway, bathroom), 10 Condo apartments of 34 sqm (two rooms with kitchenette, hallway, bathroom) and 4 Grand Condo apartments of 57 sqm (two rooms with kitchenette, hallway, bathroom). Once purchased, the apartment can be resold or rented at any time.

“In 2012, my grandfather had surgery and was in need of permanent care, for at least a month, in order to recover. That’s when we became aware of the lack of such support services in Romania, which is why, two years later, we opened Valea Izvoarelor Senior Living. Now, in 2021, because we know that the number of senior people continues to grow, we are taking the next step forward: we are building Cluj Senior Village, the first residential complex for people over the age of 55, in Romania. This concept is different from the residence at Valea Izvoarelor, where we are focusing solely on providing care services for the elderly. Cluj Senior Village is meant for active seniors and is focused on forming a community”, states Călin Sarchiz, founder & CEO of Valea Izvoarelor Senior Living.

Prior to founding Valea Izvoarelor Senior Living in 2014, Călin Sarchiz launched and led for 14 years the companies PEGAS Sisteme de Managament, URS Certifications for consulting services providers and management systems certifications and Happy Campus, accommodation services provider for students. In 2006, the entrepreneur received his PhD in the field of expert systems applied in quality management, from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.

Library, sitting room, physical therapy and care services

The residential complex will house about 100 people over the age of 55. They will have free access to common areas such as: cafeteria, dining room, library, sitting room, painting studio, physiotherapy and massage rooms, park.

Upon request, the senior owners can be provided with housekeeping, support and care services, such as: meal preparation, measurement of vital parameters by a qualified nurse, procurement and administration of medication, wellness checks, assistance with daily activities, transport and escort to external destinations, haircutting, hairdressing, manicure, etc.

The support and care services are provided by Valea Izvoarelor Senior Living.
