The period for the free service dedicated to COVID-19 counseling is valid until the end of September 2021, which can be accessed during the period in which the diagnosed person is in quarantine. The specialties that policyholders can request for free through the dedicated telemedicine service are internal medicine consultations and psychological counseling.
Through this service, SIGNAL IDUNA comes to support its policyholders, offering them the possibility to be monitored by a medical staff specialized in internal medicine to follow the evolution of their health, but also to access psychological counseling sessions to help them cope emotionally with the stress and anxiety that can be amplified by this diagnosis and the quarantine period. The service is available for all the 190,000 insured persons in the company’s portfolio, but also for those who will sign a SIGNAL IDUNA health insurance in the next period.

In order to benefit from the free telemedicine counseling service dedicated to COVID-19, SIGNAL IDUNA insured persons can make an appointment through the SIGNAL IDUNA Call Center, the operators being available 24/7, or through the Signal Care Assistant app. The scheduling time is up to 6 hours after receiving the request. Subsequently, the internal medicine doctor or psychologist will contact the insured person and provide assistance by telephone or video call on the medical problem addressed: symptoms, possible risks and issues to follow during the quarantine period.
